This is a brand-new class offered by Pebblebrook High School. Through this course, we will examine the development of global culture, politics, and economics. We will cover the greatest contributions of our ancestors from the from the dawn of history, nearly 6,000 years ago, through modern history, which ended about a second ago. The course is extensive, and as a result the course will be taught by myself and Ms. Whipple cooperatively. The course will also be a year-round course, beginning in August and ending in May.
Before we barrel through the complexities of the human record, we have a couple of things to get down first. Mostly, I want to know who you are, you want to know who I am, and we all want to know how there can be history before history starts. This week, we are going to focus on getting to know each other and what the world around us looks like. Check back every Friday afternoon for class updates, important dates, and any available assignments. |
